چکیده

Mobile ad Hoc networks (MANETs) can make dynamic changes in topology. The most realistic characteristic which differentiates MANETs from other networks is that it is capable of changing its location. The result of the surveys over the last 5 years, show that it can overcome the two difficulties such as congestion and communication between nodes. Different routing algorithms are used while maximizing packet delivery ratio (PDR), throughput and minimizing end to end delay, routing load to improve the performance. Maximum PDR and throughput gives best performance. This review paper describes the performance of the three routing protocols in case of change in traffic, no. of nodes and node mobility. To analyze the performance, reactive and proactive routing protocols are considered. The routing protocols include Better Approach to Mobile Ad hoc Networks (BATMAN), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and Optimized Link State Routing Algorithm (OLSR). This paper systematically analyzes the performance of reactive and proactive routing protocol. KeywordsMANET, Routing protocols, BATMAN, DSR, OLSR, Proactive, Reactive

Comparative Performance Analysis of AODV,DSR, TORA and OLSR Routing Protocols in MANET Using OPNET

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are receiving a significant interest and are becoming very popular in the world of wireless networks and telecommunication. MANETs consist of mobile nodes which can communicate with each other without any infrastructure or centralized administration. In MANETs, the movement of nodes is unpredictable and complex; thus making the routing of the packets challenging....

Performance evaluation of ad hoc routing protocols in VANETs

The objective of this work is to compare with simulating, using OPNET the performance of five Ad hoc routing protocols: DSR, AODV, OLSR ,TORA and GRP , and to examine the impact of mobility and the density of nodes on the behavior of these protocols in a Vehicular Ad hoc NETwork (VANET). The results show that there is not a protocol that is favorite for all evaluation criteria. Indeed, each pro...

Performance Analysis of AODV, DSR and OLSR Routing Protocols in WSN

Real implementation of routing protocol of WSNs is a time consuming process and expensive due to simulation evaluation. This paper presents an organized performance study of three routing protocols, Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocols for WSNs. The performance study of WSNs routing protocols is analysed by equa...
